There is nothing to download- everything runs in your browser. To use PrintWhatYouLike, copy the url (the http://www… address) of a page, paste it into the ‘Enter a url to start’ box, and hit start. A new page will appear containing your original page, plus a toolbar. With the toolbar you can reformat the page until it looks good enough to be print. When you do click ‘print’, only your modified page will actually appear on the paper.

One question.
I tried on a secure webpage : https://webmail.socal.rr.com
and it failed to load the page. Is this just a fluke on does your website not work on secured (https) web pages?

I think I’m doing it correctly but it continues to print the whole page. Your video never shows clicking on print and the “Help” is only for keystrokes.
Looks like a great program if I could figure out how it works.
Seems simple but………

Tony: There isn’t anything that inherently prevents pwyl from working on https secure sites. The problem with webmail.socal.rr.com is that there is some javascript that checks if you are using https: and redirects you if you aren’t. When you load the page in pwyl, the javascript redirects you. I’m working on a bookmarklet that will let you run pwyl on the site you are on, without having to go to printwhatyoulike.com. This should fix the problem, and will make pwyl work on every website.

hello,
I am still waiting patiently to be able to add in more than one web address and compile as a single page then extract as pdf etc to read offline. similar to this sort of functionality except in one page.

I understand bandwidth for these sort of things may be limited but i thought most of the processing of the page would be done on the local pc internet connection? i really think you could have a unique product just imagine going to w,y and z.com and having it all in one click
